Founder, Little Deb Consulting
Treatment Coordinator and Practice Manager, Discover Orthodontics
Debbie has spent more than 25 years inside orthodontic and dental practices, and that is the lens she brings to every conversation with a practice owner. She started chairside as a Certified Dental Assistant Level II and grew through clinical assisting, treatment coordination, insurance administration, office management, and operations leadership. Today she is the Treatment Coordinator and Practice Manager at Discover Orthodontics, and the founder of Little Deb Consulting.
Holding both roles is intentional. A lot of the consulting available to dental and orthodontic practices comes from people whose chairside years are well behind them. Debbie is still in the operatory. She still runs consults, still manages a team, still works inside the same systems she helps other practices build. The methodology she teaches, Reflect, Rectify, Redesign, was shaped on the floor of a working practice and is still being refined there.
Her work covers the parts of a practice that quietly decide whether the month goes well: the Treatment Coordinator role and case acceptance, intraoral scanning and outcome simulation in the consult, Canadian orthodontic insurance and claims, team communication and accountability, and the operational habits that hold a practice together as it grows.
"The Treatment Coordinator sits between the patient and the rest of the practice. When that role is trained and supported, cases move and the clinical team's work actually lands. When it isn't, everyone else ends up covering for it. That is why I keep coming back to the TC chair. It is where most practices have the most to gain."
Beyond the practice

As a Faculty Member with Align Technology, Debbie writes and delivers continuing education across North America on treatment coordination, case acceptance, and the practical side of digital workflow. She helps shape new program content, hosts a peer-to-peer webinar series, and speaks to orthodontists, dentists, treatment coordinators, office managers, and full clinical teams. She is also a member of the Ontario Dental Assistants Association.
In 2025 she completed Mastering the Business of Orthodontics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a program built for practice leaders who want to understand the business behind the clinical work.
Through Little Deb Consulting she works with orthodontic and dental practices on the things that move the needle day to day: stronger case acceptance, more confident Treatment Coordinators, cleaner digital workflows, better team communication, Canadian orthodontic insurance handled properly, and operational systems that hold up as the practice grows.
Her view of this work is straightforward. Practices succeed because of the people inside them, supported by systems that actually fit the way the team works. Technology helps. Process helps. But the conversations a team has with patients, and with each other, are what show up in the numbers at the end of the month.
From inside the practice
Discover Orthodontics

"I try not to teach things in the abstract. Because I am still in practice every week, the frameworks I share have already been put through real consults, real teams, and real patients. That is what gives me the confidence to recommend them."
Outside the practice, Debbie spends most weekends following her four children through competitive soccer at the local, U.S., and international levels. It is a quiet reminder of how much preparation sits behind anything that looks effortless.
Train with Intention. Lead with Confidence. Convert with Clarity.
